Make the Community Mercy Rehab Center your new choice for comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Adult Rehabilitation
This service involves physical, occupational and speech therapy, each coordinated by our specialists so that all three areas work closely together in the best interest of the patient. Adult rehabilitation can encompass a variety of programs, whether work, home or sports related. Special attention is offered to the family or person involved in caring for the patient to teach them how to continue therapy at home.
Pediatric Rehabilitation
Services include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech/language therapy for children up to age 18. We utilize a team approach to ensure the challenges faced by each child and his/her family are carefully assessed and treated in a safe and friendly environment.
Physical Therapy
Depending on the patient’s condition and the amount of treatment needed, our program incorporates exercise, testing, and training to help patients regain mobility, strength and function in their daily lives so they can return to work, sports, regular activity and self-sufficiency.
Occupational Therapy
We help patients increase their independence through work-related injury care and by learning activities of daily living, from bathing and dressing to cooking and homemaking skills.
Speech/Language Pathology
This area specializes in assisting patients in all age groups who have experienced changes in speech and language functions, thinking skills, memory and swallowing. Individual treatment, group therapy and computer-assisted therapy may be used to create specific exercises, training and assignments to meet individual needs.
Hand Therapy
This is a highly-specialized service designed to speed recovery from a hand injury and prevent further complications. We evaluate and treat patients having trouble using their hands due to injury, surgery or other diagnosis, such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Therapy is performed under the supervision of a Certified Hand Therapist.
Lymphedema Services
At the Community Mercy Lymphedema Clinic, our goal is to help patients achieve and maintain a healthier way of life.
